Try experimenting with this technique to see if you discover any of your own pathways. The more you explore the more likely you will find yourself coming up with your own original melodies. This improvisational study falls back on my many years of ragtime guitar study. In essence, approaching the guitar more like a piano, yet still staying within the range and character of the Acoustic Steel String. This improvisation has ended up as a full blown finalized Guitar piece on the upcoming CD: "6 & 12-String Drawings from the Acoustic Forest". To hear an example of this piece fully rendered, check out "Acoustician".
