Played here on a 6-string banjo, "Dallas Rag" is an old string-band tune ... once was a very popular rag for guitarists. "There are many chords in this arrangement that are unorthodox and will take some fingerstretching to get used to. This song combines three techniques. The main theme is played with an alternating bass style while a counterpoint approach is used for many end tags. A single-string style is used for end tags and breaks." Contemporary Ragtime Guitar
